Aluminum Bronze is a category of copper based alloys with aluminum as major alloying elements ranging from 5% to 11% over different grades of aluminum bronze. Aluminum bronze is the strongest alloy among all other copper based alloys. Aluminum bronze has its strength because of high aluminum and iron content with nickel and zinc as additional elements. This alloy can be hardened by a combination of solid solution strengthening, cold work, and precipitation of an iron rich phase.
